Because love has never been so cheap...
Excerpts italicized:

White Castle is going out of its way to help you show that special someone how much you really care. They are offering dining reservations on Valentine's Day.
The Consumerist notes:
"The cult favorite burger joint offers up a way to test that love. Set up a reservation for two at a participating White Castle, and if your significant other takes it in stride, your love is either everlasting or the relationship is so lifeless that you'll be stuck together for eternity due to inertia. If you're left alone in a huff, at least you're in for a night of greasy goodness."
I am guessing this is a PR stunt, as i don't think anyone takes this too seriously. At the very least, it does get you thinking about what Valentines' day has become and what it has meant.
Has the commercialization of this holiday hurt the true meaning? Does the purchase of jewels and lingerie do anything to help show or strengthen what is important? If you believe so, would you either refuse or discourage the gifts that your loved one would give you?
Actions speak louder than words...
Do you practice what you believe?
